BUSINESS MANAGER
Job description
- The business management team support the Front Office and senior management in achieving success through management information, reporting, ensuring best practice, application support
- This role will take the lead when it comes to consolidation of sales Management MI, daily and weekly reporting and developing further the reporting capability of the platform. A key differentiator will be someone who is able to prepare and analyse the detail but be able to step back and seek opportunities for the business to grow, tracking and monitoring performance risks and opportunities and dealing with ad-hoc request
- The role will work closely with and support the Geneva Finance Team, including MI production. Together with the Geneva Performance and Planning Team the role will manager relationships with stakeholders across all business units booking on the Swiss platform
- In conjunction with the Team leaders, the business manager will assist on asset, revenue and overall performance objectives for the team
- A large element of the role will be adhoc decision support analysis which may relate to a specific business unit, the overall platform or the location
Profile required
- A financially astute professional with a thorough understanding of core reporting processes, process enhancement and delivery
- Significant, disciplined sales management experience, with evidence of being able to proactively drive the business forward from a productivity standpoint
- Excellent verbal and oral communication skills are essential and the role holder will have the ability to interact with bankers, traders and senior management on regular basis
- Proven ability to provide high quality data analysis coupled with experience of the Financial Services industry, with knowledge in both core banking and Investment/Asset management sectors- and understanding of private banking products
- A good team player, the ideal candidate will encourage colleagues to contribute but also have the ability to work alone to tight timescales and under pressure
- System skills - advanced user of Microsoft Excel is essential as is the ability to work with large volumes of data, SQL and Access experience is desirable
- Degree and relevant Accounting & Finance experience
- Fluency in English is compulsory
